“Be modest. Be a lady. Don’t brag.” But… there’s a difference between faking it and making it. Insecure people are always trying to convince people they’re great. It can come off as pushy, fake, a mask, and there is usually an underlying feeling of discomfort when you interact with them. Confident people tend to “just be.” Their self worth isn’t tied to being the best, the smartest, the strongest, or the one with all the right answers. They know they are worthy even if they aren’t perfect. And so, they listen to others, they are open to change, and they aren’t afraid of having to course correct when they learn new information. There’s an ease about confidence that is not present in bragging.
